How the Program Works
Getting Started in Explore
Our experienced advisors in the Explore Program will guide you as you learn about Northeastern’s 220+ majors, and help you stay on track for graduation as you explore. Your advising experience begins before you even begin your first semester through our pre-orientation advising process and mentoring support for new students.
While you are in the Explore Program
We help you connect with students, advisors, faculty, and even alumni across the university through our first-year seminar courses, signature events, and student leader network. We encourage you to ask questions and practice your networking skills as you prepare to declare your major, explore co-op opportunities, and develop a strategic plan for academic and experiential engagement at Northeastern.
Transition to your Major
It takes more than just a major to prepare for your future. As you explore your academic interests, you will begin developing confidence, comfort with uncertainty, and problem-solving skills to help you succeed at Northeastern and beyond.
