Nadeem Karimbux, DMD, MMSc
Dean, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
We are honored to welcome Dr. Nadeem Karimbux, Dean of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, as the keynote speaker for the Northeastern Future Dentist Summit.
Dr. Karimbux earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed advanced training in periodontology, earning a Master of Medical Sciences from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. An internationally recognized educator, researcher, and academic leader, he has dedicated his career to advancing dental education, innovation, and oral health.
His keynote address will explore the future of dentistry, leadership in the profession, and insights for aspiring dental professionals as they prepare for successful careers in oral healthcare.

- Dr. Nadia Diab-Shamari
Dr. Nadia Diab-Shamari received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Northeastern University. From there, she earned her dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Diab also holds a Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the Medical College of Virginia and is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist.
Dr. Diab is a co-owner of BrushFloss, a family of multi-specialty dental and orthodontic practices serving communities throughout MetroWest Massachusetts. She has extensively volunteered locally and internationally providing free dental care to children and remains actively involved in outreach and oral health education.
She is also involved with Northeastern University through the Pre-Dental Program as a mentor and co-op employer.
- Dr. Walid Dehni
Dr. Walid J. Dehni earned his Bachelor of Arts from Boston University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed specialty training in Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Texas and the VA Medical Center in Houston.
Dr. Dehni is the founder of Lynnfield Dental Associates and has extensive experience in esthetic dentistry, implant dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, and sedation dentistry. He is certified in both Oral Conscious Sedation and IV Sedation and has advanced training in digital dentistry, dental implants, and complex restorative procedures. He has also served as a faculty member at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and currently serves as President of the Sedation Dentistry Network.
Dr. Dehni remains committed to advancing the dental profession through education, mentorship, and providing exceptional patient care.
