Advisor Caseloads
Advisees are encouraged to meet with their individual PreMed & PreHealth advisor at least once per academic year.
PreMed and PreHealth Advising supports undergraduate degree-seeking students and alumni from across the university’s global campus network, and students and alumni enrolled in the Northeastern University’s Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Certificate Program (completion of at least 8 required courses), on their pathway to medical school, dental school, physician assistant school, podiatry school, optometry school, and veterinary school.
All students are assigned a PreMed & PreHealth Advisor based on the first letter of their last name, regardless of their home college or the health profession they are pursuing.
Please schedule all appointments with your advisor through EAB Navigate. If you do not have access to EAB Navigate, you may make appointments directly with your advisor via email. Prior to your first appointment, please create a Medical Applicant Portal (MAP) via your Student Hub. Cancel appointments you cannot keep at least 24 hours in advance. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, you will be marked a “No Show.”

Legacy Students & Alumni: Individuals who graduated from an institution before its merger with Northeastern University or were already enrolled at the time of the merger. For PreHealth advising, Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) undergraduate alumni, current MMC legacy students—including current post-baccalaureate students who were enrolled at the time of the merger—and former MMC post-baccalaureate students who enrolled before the merger should contact Eugene Rubin, Career Counselor and Pre-Health Advisor. All other legacy students and alumni should contact PMPH@Northeastern.edu or use the NAAHP Find An Advisor Tool.
Boston Post-Baccalaureate Non-Certificate Students: Advising through the PreMed and PreHealth Advising Program is available to students enrolled in Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Certificate Program on the Boston campus who are pursuing completion of the certificate (a minimum of 8 required courses). Students who are taking courses through the program but do not intend to complete the certificate and who did not earn their undergraduate degree from Northeastern are not eligible for PreMed/PreHealth Advising at Northeastern. These students should contact their undergraduate institution’s PreHealth Advising Office for support. If you no longer have access to your undergraduate Pre-Health Advising services, you may also seek PreHealth advising through the NAAHP Find An Advisor Tool.
Masters/Doctoral Degree-Seeking (only): Refers to individuals pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree at Northeastern University who did not complete their undergraduate degree at Northeastern. These students are not eligible for PreMed/PreHealth Advising at Northeastern. These students should contact their undergraduate Pre-Health Advising Office for advising support. If you no longer have access to your undergraduate Pre-Health Advising services, you may also seek PreHealth advising through the NAAHP Find An Advisor Tool.
Dismissed or Transfer-Out Students: Refers to individuals who were previously enrolled at Northeastern University but have either been dismissed or transferred to another institution prior to earning their undergraduate degree. These individuals no longer have access to PreMed/PreHealth Advising services at Northeastern. They should contact their current or most recent undergraduate institution’s Pre-Health Advising Office for support. If you no longer have access to those advising services, you may also seek PreHealth advising through the NAAHP Find An Advisor Tool.
