Our Program
Mentoring
Peer Mentors play a key role in the General Studies Program. They share knowledge and strategies that have made them successful. Mentors are available to answer questions, share their own experiences, and encourage students to become their own best self-advocates.
Each first-year seminar class is assigned a Peer Mentor who facilitates in-class activities, such as time management planning and navigating university websites. Mentors meet with students one-on-one outside of class, and also offer workshops on such topics as stress relief, resume writing, and interviewing.
