Recruitment and Training

I am a third year Computer Science and Biology major from Alexandria, VA. On campus I’m a member of the Club Swimming team, a Khoury TA for “Fundies” 2, and a UA for Biology Project Lab. I was also involved in the N.U.in Alumni Ambassador program.

Fun fact: I know how to ride a unicycle!

I’m excited to be a coordinator because I am able to work closely with the advisors and many other student leaders.  I’m most excited to be Recruitment & Training Coordinator because I get to oversee the process of bringing in new student leaders and welcoming them to our student leader community!

NU Horizons

Hi, everyone! My name is Priya Amin and I’m a rising 5th year Chemical Engineering major. Outside of school and work, I enjoy going to concerts, dancing, and eating at buffets.

Fun fact: I have a fake tooth.

I’m excited to be a coordinator to play a bigger role in the Explore community. I’m really happy to have this chance to give back to it after all that Explore has done for me.

Assessment

Hi everyone! I’m Emily and I’m a 4th year Politics, Philosophy and Economics major with a Psychology minor from Hoffman Estates, IL. Outside of the Explore Program, I am a part of Greek life on campus as a member of Chi Omega. I love to spend time outside and try new activities!

Fun Fact: I am a licensed soccer coach!

I am excited to be a coordinator and  get more involved with the Explore Program and give back to the program that completely transformed my college experience!

Alumni

I am a fourth year business administration student with concentrations in finance and accounting and a minor in Spanish. I’m from Rochester, NY, and on campus I’m an S-LTA for Connections & Decisions and an RA.

Fun fact: I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan, and a couple years ago I was able to visit the site where they filmed Dragonstone. I took a really nerdy picture with my book and I’m pretty sure this was my peak in life.

Why I’m excited to be a coordinator: It allows me to get even further involved with the Explore Program! I’ve been able to get to know more student leaders as a coordinator and I find it to be a great learning experience.

Community

I’m a 4th-year-senior Health Science student, and my coursework focuses on public health, psychology, and health psychology. I volunteered at Jumpstart for my first 2 years at NU and I really enjoyed teaching and interacting with the young children at the Cooper Community Center in Roxbury, MA. I also love competitive swimming, and I am a part of the club team at NU. My other interests are listening to music, cooking, watching YouTube, and playing board games!

Fun fact: I have a mini board game collection and my favorite board game is called Ra!

Im psyched to be a coordinator because I really enjoy meeting and chatting with Explore students & Student Leaders – it’s so awesome that we’re all interested in different academic programs, and we have super diverse cultures, interests, and backgrounds. During the upcoming spring semester, I’m excited to help use the Slack platform to virtually connect with everyone!

Social Media

I am a 4th year business major with a concentration in marketing and a minor in communications. I am originally from Atlanta, GA. A fun fact about myself is that I really enjoy stories (books, tv shows, and movies) from all cultures. I am a really big fan of Chinese and Korean dramas!

Fun Fact: I believe everyone should also eat the orange peel of the fruit. Extra fiber!

I am excited to be a coordinator this spring to support each of you in your student leader experience and get to know you on a more personal level. I also am excited to help build a fun online experience for our students as they start their exploration process.

Events

I’m a fourth year Politics, Philosophy, Economics major with minors in Global Social Entrepreneurship and International Affairs from South Florida. I’m extremely interested in nonprofit work and making a difference where I can. This semester I will be busy working part time at my last co-op, working in the visitor center, participating in my sorority, and as a coordinator for the Explore Program!

Fun Fact: I can lick my elbow!

I’m excited to be a coordinator because I would literally do anything to help the Explore Program! The advisors are so compassionate and helpful, and I love helping in any way I can. Its one of the best communities I’ve found at Northeastern!

Communications

Hi everyone! I am a 4th year Human Services and International Affairs combined major with interests in counseling, social work, child development, and social justice. I’m involved on and off campus with the Service-Learning program, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and a local nonprofit called Camp Harbor View.

Fun fact: My family moves around so I have lived in 8 different states and have visited 45 US states!

I am so excited to join the Coordinator team as Communications Coordinator because I get to connect with so many people in a new and unique way. I am also really looking forward to the projects I will get to work on (including this post!) to highlight amazing people and experiences at Northeastern.
