Research Assistant: Philanthropy Lab (Work Study Position)

Opportunity Description

We are seeking undergraduate research assistants who have funding through the federal work study program to join a dynamic, fun research lab and help collect data on how foundations and philanthropists think about the effectiveness and impact of their donations in changing the world. You’ll get first-hand experience in how original academic research is produced and have the opportunity to work in a supportive, fun, team-oriented environment with very flexible hours. Work is entirely remote and includes some or all of the following: web searching, data collection, report writing, summarizing texts according to a provided set of criteria, managing information on spreadsheets, and other administrative duties related to academic research.

Job Requirements

Requirements include strong computer, organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills. Also required is the ability to meet deadlines. The student must be detail oriented and able to handle any confidential information professionally. The student must be responsible, dependable, and motivated, and it will be important that the student is able to work both independently and with a team of students. Comfort with basic spreadsheet use is required. This is a great opportunity to work with a research team in international affairs.
