Opportunity Description
This project explores how digital infrastructures-such as 5G networks, cloud data centers, submarine cables, and AI systems-shape geopolitical alignments, national security dependences, and digital sovereignty. We plan to assemble a global dataset that maps technology suppliers, infrastructure networks, and related policies, and develop an interactive platform to visualize these dependencies.
Three positions available: (1) Literature review assistant - conduct background research, summarize key findings from policy reports, and identify theoretical linkages in political science and technology studies; (2) Data collection and validation assistant - gather data on digital infrastructure (5G, cloud, cables, etc.), clean and cross-validate information across multiple sources; (3) Web manager/visualization assistant - support layout design and visual presentation of the dataset through web dashboards or mapping interfaces.
