Sharing Your Work at RISE
Sharing your work at RISE is easy. Simply submit an abstract, have it approved, create a virtual presentation about your work, upload it, and join us on RISE day to discuss your work live with peers, faculty, staff, and judges. Family and friends are invited to join too!

Submitting an Abstract
The first step in sharing your work at RISE is submitting an abstract. Review this brief video for information on not only what you can share, but also about how you should do it.

Don’t want to watch a video? Read the instructions as a PDF here. Or read through the gallery of images below.  The link to submit your abstract follows! Please be sure to consider the instructions.

Create and Upload Your Virtual Presentation
After you’ve submitted your abstract, we’ll review it for content and clarity and let you know if you have been invited to present at RISE. If you’re invited to present at RISE, we’ll ask you to create a five-slide presentation about your project using our RISE 2022 template. We’ll share that template with those who have been accepted, along with a link to the RISE Presentation Portal and tutorials about the best ways you might showcase your work. For this final presentation, you’ll have three-minutes (no more!) to discuss your slides.

  1. TITLE SLIDE
  2. BACKGROUND, MOTIVATION, AND GOALS
  3. PROCESS AND METHODS
  4. FINDINGS AND PRODUCTS
  5. CONCLUSIONS AND NEXT STEPS

You’ll create a login to the presentation portal and upload your video presentation, with captions, there. Don’t worry, we’ll send you detailed instructions if you’re invited to share your work at RISE.

Share Your Work on RISE Day
On the day of RISE, you’ll login during your scheduled Live Question and Answer session and talk to guests about your project and ambitions using a built-in video chat that works just like Zoom. Comb your hair and get dressed up nice! Then, enjoy yourself!
