Congress created the Barry Goldwater Scholarship in 1986 to encourage students to pursue research careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering. Sophomores and juniors in the STEM fields, come join the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships to learn about the Northeastern process of applying for this premier recognition.
