Boston, MA 02115 United States

Event Website

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is a highly competitive, merit-based award for outstanding students in mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering who are interested in pursuing a career in research. Sophomores and juniors who have excellent academic records, outstanding letters of recommendation, and a demonstrated interest in and potential for careers in these fields are invited to apply. Northeastern can nominate up to 4 students each year. The core of the Goldwater application is the presentation of a compelling research project, clearly and concisely communicated to fellow scientists in two pages. This requires faculty input and multiple revisions.

Goldwater Scholar annually receives an amount equal to the cost of tuition, mandatory fees, books, and room and board minus the amount of support provided for by other sources, up to a maximum of $7,500 per full academic year.

This particular award cycle is for current sophomores and juniors.

Join us for our Goldwater Scholarship Info Session to learn more about this great opportunity -- and how to begin putting together your application.
