It was our first time attending the conference and gave us exciting anticipation of sharing what we have learned in our work.

There was a lot of room for improvement as well as insight into the project as we worked on the project and presented it at the APhA conference in Seattle. One of our driving forces in having the project going is the motivation of the pharmacists at the site to help us collect the data to demonstrate the pattern of satisfaction if a medication synchronization program was to be implemented; however, it was a challenge since the pharmacy was focused more on the patient rather than collecting the data, so we were not able to collect information from the surveys. One of the feedback received is that we would have a point person who is solely in charge of working on this new project at the site so that the pharmacist would not be overwhelmed by the amount of additional work they have to do. Another suggestion was to have the students working on the project to physically go to the site and help implement the surveys, as well as making sure that data are correct.

This conference opened new opportunities on how this project could go next as we talked to others during the presentation. New ideas and insight include early deadlines and frequent check-ups on the site. Beyond the networking opportunities we have made at the conference, this conference allowed to reach the objective of our project and hopefully expanding the med sync program to other sites.
