About

Overview

The Peer Tutoring Program offers FREE peer tutoring services to NU undergraduates actively enrolled in the courses which they are seeking academic assistance.

The Program partners with faculty to recruit and hire highly qualified undergraduate students to become peer tutors. Peer Tutors can only tutor courses they have taken at Northeastern and received an A or an A- as the final grade. We also hire a number of highly qualified undergraduate students who are native language speakers to become peer tutors in order to support students enrolled in Modern Language courses offered by the university.  Additionally, all peer tutors are trained in accordance with College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) tutor certification guidelines.

Students in need of tutoring assistance can book one-on-one or small group tutoring appointments via myNortheastern on the Self-Service page, under TUTORING. We also encourage students who need additional support to contact the Peer Tutoring Program during business hours Monday thru Friday from 9:00AM to 5:30PM. All first-time tutoring sessions must take place during normal business hours but follow up tutoring appointments may take place after business hours and during weekends.

Peer tutoring begins the second week of class and ends on the last day of class.
