Kim Irmiter

Kim is the Director of the Northeastern Explore Program and has been at Northeastern since 1997. She has a B.A. in English from Connecticut College and an M.A. in English from DePaul University.

Kim enjoys working with exploring students because they are risk-takers, ready to learn about the world. “I love hearing from students that they want to be a part of those impending discoveries and inventions which will help to save the world.” She can often be heard to say that if she were asked to write an ideal job description, it would be her very job. She is hopeful that students in the Northeastern Explore Program will be able to say this throughout their own careers.

Kim spends her free time with her husband and daughters, vacationing in Chicago each summer. A fun fact about Kim is that she has a husky named Blue.
