Sarah Lombardo, who graduated from Northeastern magna cum laude with a degree in international affairs, was awarded the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship. Lombardo aspires to be a political officer in the Foreign Service, and she prepared for that role through a co-op with the Office of the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, working on the implementation of the peace accord that ended the Bosnian War.

As a Pickering Fellow, Lombardo graduated from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Having completing the Foreign Service examination, Lombardo now works as a diplomat on issues of conflict resolution and post-conflict implementation, currently in South Korea.
